"Building with Lace!" Class
"BUILDING WITH LACE" is the most elegant shawl that is sure to become an heirloom! Plus, you are mastering lace-knitting skills, including beautiful Japanese lace stitches and beading!
This class will be done in ten sessions (9 sections plus the edging) in the most luxurious yarn, "Rylie" by HiKoo -- 50% Baby Alpaca, 25% Mulberry Silk and 25% linen with 274 yds per 100 gram hank. Because the class is so challenging, we will be using a DK-weight yarn to learn on (your choice). This "swatch" can be made into a scarf at the end of the class.
DAY CLASS 10am - 12pm, every other Thursday, beginning 8/3.
EVENING CLASS 6pm-8pm, every other Wednesday, beginning 8/9.
Class Cost is $10 per session if using Rylie yarn OR $16 per session if not using Rylie -- we cannot guarantee your results if not using Rylie AND there will be a $20 Deposit on book which will be applied to Class #5 & 6.
"Learn to Crochet!" Class & Beginner’s Clinic
In this basic "Learn to Crochet" class, you will learn about materials, pattern abbreviations, how to chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet, turning chains and how to make a "flower garland" incorporating these stitches! This three-hour class will enable you to create a scarf or afghan, and you will leave with a pattern to make a scarf! Should you decide you still need more instructional support, you are welcome to come back next month during this time in “Beginner’s Clinic” (also $20). You will receive ongoing support during “Open Knit/Crochet” times whenever you start a new pattern or get stuck – free of charge when materials are purchased at Ramona Country Yarn Store! Crochet is often used to trim knitted garments, and is the basis for Tunisian Crochet as well.
Class cost is $20 (per session) plus $10 materials fee (crochet hook and one skein of yarn).

"Great American Aran Afghan" Class
And, as if you weren't already learning copious skills with "Building Blocks" and "Building in Color" classes, we will be taxing your brain a bit more with the ongoing "Great American Aran Afghan" project class to make the most exquisite Aran-knitted afghan (think Fisherman's knit sweater)! This is one you will want for yourself as each design is intricate and beautifully designed. This is a continuing once-a-month knit along the first Thursday of the month during Open/Knit Crochet, from 6-8 pm. The pattern is free each week when you purchase the yarn from us. Help and coaching available, and you will have one month to complete each block. There are 24 blocks total to do, 20 for the afghan and 4 for pillows. Yarn suggested is Cascade 220, Berroco Vintage or Cherub Aran in elegant cream colors, or any worsted-weight yarn in color of your choice.
No need to register for class – just show up and join at any time!
Because we strive to bring you the best quality yarns at the most reasonable prices and select the proper yarns to be used for your class/project, should you bring a yarn not purchased at Ramona Country Yarn Store for your class or project, there will be a $5.00 "Yarnage Fee" to help allay the costs of the class. Thank you for understanding.
Classes listed below are offered on a regular basis. Dates and times, and project classes will be announced on our Facebook page, newsletter and calendar.
